Jurgen Klopp was not impressed with a Spanish reporter’s query regarding the possibility of giving Real Madrid’s Luka Modric a new contract, quickly shutting them down with an abrupt response.
Following Liverpool’s humbling 5-2 loss to Spanish giants and reigning European Champions Real Madrid, a reporter asked Jurgen Klopp if he would be giving Luka Modric a new contract. The German manager sternly shot down the question.

Liverpool went in level at the half-time break after Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah had put them two goals up, with Vinicius Jr responsible for Real’s two goals. The Spanish side then ran riot in the second half, scoring a further three goals courtesy of Eder Militao and Karim Benzema. Despite not finding the net himself, Modric, at the grand old age of 37, still managed to boss the midfield, even impressing with his performance against 18-year-old Reds prodigy, Stefan Bajcetic.

A Spanish journalist asked Jurgen Klopp whether he would re-sign Luka Modric for Real Madrid, given his contract expires this summer. The German manager, however, did not take kindly to the inquiry, curtly replying that it was “not one of my problems.
